How To Eat A Rock 2024
Research residency
Villa Villekula (FR)
20-24.06.2024
The “Thousand Pounds Forest” in Faucogney-et-la-mer (FR) serves as both context and material to explore the realm of the "edible." As I navigated this new environment, I was guided by my stomach, asking myself: "What is this, and how could I eat it?"
Rocks, shells, earth, twigs, toxic flowers... I sculpted clay to transform these inedible fantasies into tools. These ceramics will guide us in a dialogue between foraged ingredients and the gestures of foraging. Searching the ground for sourdough rocks, observing raw syrup flowing along the petals, picking a pickle one branch at a time.
